The 39-year-old singer, who hit the big time as a judge on the X-Factor, said that she struggled to survive in her sister's shadow.
She told Marie Claire, 'When I first came over, it was hard because it was Kyliemania. She was this cute little thing and I was the fat, ugly sister.
'Can you imagine for years being asked what it's like to be Kylie's sister?'
Having given birth to baby Ethan earlier this year, she said it finally feels like things are going her way.
The 39-year-old explained, 'Yeah it's come together. I suppose I've endured things when they haven't gone right. I guess it's my turn now to enjoy what is going right.'
