The Australian star will soon reprise her role on the judging panel of the UK television show, which aims to find the county’s top musical talent, alongside pop mogul Simon Cowell, British star Cheryl Cole and Irish band manager Louis Walsh.
Dannii has been away on maternity leave as she gave birth to her and partner Kris Smith’s first child, Ethan, in July. She is said to be nervous about her return after extracts from her autobiography were released in which she criticised former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne.
When they worked together there were various reports in the press that Dannii and Sharon didn’t get on, and in her book Dannii: My Story, the singer claims 57-year-old Sharon once stormed into her dressing room and made her cry.
However, Sharon is famously good pals with Dannii’s co-judges Louis, and is even helping him pick which hopefuls to take through to the live shows. Dannii is now concerned her memoirs might cause friction on set.
“She really thought she’d return in a blaze of glory post-baby but it’s already looking like it’ll be more tense than ever,” an insider told Closer magazine.
It is believed Dannii is especially worried about Louis as she felt she really bonded with him last year. In the past the Irishman and Dannii hadn’t seen eye to eye, but they eventually became friends.
“Last year she finally started enjoying herself and was getting on a lot better with Louis... Louis was always very close to Sharon and when it comes down to it, there is no way he’d go against her,” added the source.
