Dannii Minogue reveals thoughts on X Factor

Minogue, who is mum to one-year-old baby Ethan, shared her feelings about the singing competition during an interview with Heart FM.

The 39-year-old, who is currently in the UK to promote her new book My Style, said: 'It does eat all of us up and spit us out at the end.'

She went on to explain why she never returned for this year's talent show.

Dannii added: 'The dates of the filming got put back twice and I'd already started Australia's Got Talent by the time they said, 'Ok, here it is - let's do the show.'

'It would've meant me flying back and forth from Australia once a week for ten weeks with a one-year-old child.'

The star appeared on British TV show This Morning yesterday and was asked if she missed working on the talent contest.

She added: 'It's hard because I was so passionate about the contestants and I loved the mentoring bit, but you know, just balancing everything with family and home. I am enjoying being at home with bubba.'
