Dave Grohl has said in interviews that he will be showcasing his Sound City Players at SXSW next month and today John Fogerty let slip that he will be playing SXSW as well.
Fogerty performed at the Sundance showcase with Dave Grohl in Sound City Players. Foo Fighters also back Fogerty on a new version of his Creedence Clearwater Revival classic 'Fortunate Son' on his forthcoming 'Wrote A Song For Everyone' album, due in May.
A line at the end of a press release for the Fogerty album today mentioned, "JOHN FOGERTY will tour in 2013 and look for him to be at this year's SXSW in Austin (dates/events TBA)".
Grohl also mentioned Sound City Players would be playing one-off shows in London and Sydney.
The Sound City Players line-up at Sundance last month also featured Stevie Nicks, Corey Taylor, Rick Nielsen and the members of Foo Fighters and Nirvana.
