David Guetta claims the time you've been married for counts 'as double' when you are a DJ.
The French DJ-and-producer is famed for his collaborations with a whole host of stars including Kelly Rowland, Flo Rida, Kelis and Snoop Dogg.
David is away from his family a lot with his career, but insists he always remains committed to his wife and two children.
' have two children, a seven-year-old and a three-year-old. I've been married for 20 years. For DJ's it counts as double,' he laughed in an interview with BBC Radio One.
''m trying to be there for important moments. I came back from New York to bring my son to school on Thursday.
'There's only two people in the world who can wake me up at 7am in the morning. My son, and you!'
David also touched upon when he met his wife Cathy. He revealed he was DJing at the time, and won her over with his music.
' was playing French Kiss with garlic round my neck,' he laughed. ' was showing off with my mixing tricks to catch her attention and it worked!
' don't usually drink anymore. The day you meet my wife you'll understand why!'
David recently released his fifth studio album Nothing but the Beat, which features Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Hudson. The house music star also worked with R&B star Usher on track Without You. David was blown away by the star's vocals on the record.
't's my favourite David Guetta song. Usher has such a beautiful voice,' he said.
'Yes [I find out the people who can't sing when I get into the studio with them.] But definitely not with Usher. I think it was probably the time I was most impressed. I was so impressed. I love this song.'
David enjoys collaborating with a range of music stars. The 43-year-old star says his top priority is to make his music before allowing the artist to feature on the track.
'First I make the music. Because I want to be free. I don't like to work for someone. I just wanna make music, have fun, and then when I have loads of tracks I say 'this would be great for this artist,'' he revealed.
