DEPECHE MODE have been forced to cancel their planned show in London this weekend while Dave Gahan recovers from an operation.
The band said the gig at the O2 Arena, which was due to take place this Saturday, will be re-scheduled, but a new date has yet to be announced.
The band have already scrapped a string of dates across Europe recently on their Tour Of The Universe jaunt after Gahan was taken to hospital with severe gastroenteritis on May 12.
While he was being treated, doctors noticed a tumour in his bladder which they removed, but the frontman has been ordered to rest until June 8th.
A statement from the group said: "While in hospital, further medical tests revealed a low-grade malignant tumour in Dave's bladder, which has since been successfully removed.
"At doctors' orders Dave Gahan must take a break until June 8, to ensure that he makes a full recovery.
"Dave Gahan sincerely thanks his fans for their support, understanding and patience. Depeche Mode deeply regret any problems or inconveniences the cancellations and postponements may have caused."
