Depeche Mode's chart topping album 'Sounds Of The Universe' soared into the No.1 spot this week, across 14 countries in Europe and South America. It also went straight in at No.2 in the UK (narrowly missing out on No.1), France, Norway, Portugal and No.3 in the US.
The album proved to be a huge hit in the US, hitting the top spot in the Alternative, Digital and Electronic charts.
Depeche Mode's exquisite new single 'Peace' is out June 15th – an album highlight and the follow-up to 'Wrong'.
Their seismic 'Tour of the Universe' kicks off this month in Israel (May 10th), which features a sold-out show at London's O2, May 30th.
The band made their debut performance on Later With Jools Holland on Tuesday, which included their recent single 'Wrong' and the classic 'Personal Jesus'. The extended show goes out tonight, on BBC2.
