The 1939 Wizard Of Oz classic 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' could end up being the biggest selling song in England this week.
The track took off in the UK following the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who died on Monday from a stroke. Thatcher divided a national during her rule from 1979-1990, so much so that the Russians nicknamed her 'The Iron Lady'.
Since her death, 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' flew to number one on the British iTunes chart (presumably on a broomstick).
The Official Charts Company of England compiles the overall chart and with two days of sales left to go this week has 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' as third biggest selling song in the country. (The official charts company includes all music sales, not just iTunes).
After 5 days of sales 'Need U (100%) by Duke Dumont and A*M*E is the tops seller. Pink feat. Nate Ruess 'Just Give Me A Reason' is tracking at number 2. The difference between number 1 and number 3 is 12,000 sales.
The final UK chart for the week will be announced on Sunday night.
