The Dixie Chicks, who have been on a semi-permanent hiatus for the last few years, will be performing at the Craven Country Jamboree in Craven, Saskatchewan, Canada next summer.
The July 13 show will be the first for the trio since their support position on a number of Eagles shows in 2010 and the Concert for Wildlife Relief in Austin, TX last October. They haven't toured regularly since they were out in support of 2006's Taking the Long Way album.
The band's website also shows an appearance for July 7 at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival, Prince Edward Island on July 7.
While Natalie Maines seems to be the one that has been holding out on group activity, the other members, sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robinson, have kept busy with their side group, Court Yard Hounds.
The Chicks are replacing Lady Antebellum on the Craven Country Jamboree bill. Festival officials said "We knew we had to find something extra special to replace Lady Antebellum when the band canceled their summer dates due to Hilary Scott's pregnancy. We are extremely excited that we can offer a taste of country music royalty to the Craven Country Jamboree. And it won't be a regular show - not only will our fans see Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Robison, the three original members, this is a greatest hits package. The Craven date will be one of the only opportunities fans of the band will have to see them live. This is an incredibly special moment for Chicks fans and the Craven Country Jamboree."
The festival, which runs from July 11 to 14, also will feature Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Gloriana, Randy Travis, Scotty McCreery, Phil Vassar, Sawyer Brown and Doc Walker.
