Dizzee Rascal to headline Lovebox

The LOVEBOX Weekender has announced that the 2010 festival will be their biggest and most ambitious to date; taking place over three days in East London's Victoria Park.

The organisers have also confirmed chart-topping superstar Dizzee Rascal as the first headline act for the new look festival alongside Chase and Status - both acts will launch Lovebox 2010 with performances on the opening Friday.

Continuing to build on its growth and success to date, 2010 will see Lovebox become a three day event for the first time in the festival's seven year history. Each day of the festival will have a distinct musical identity; launching on Friday 16 July 2010 with a day showcasing the current dance and pop collision headlined by Dizzee Rascal and award-winning newcomers Chase and Status.

Saturday will stick closely to the Lovebox formula that has delivered two consecutive sell out shows, with an all encompassing eclectic line up, a strong party vibe and a classic heritage artist or two for good measure. The closing Sunday will centre on the very best in dance music with the festival broadening its metropolitan polysexual reach with an event that will draw on everything London has to offer in terms of music, fashion, style, art and everything in between.

In addition to the stellar musical line up, London's most electric and eclectic show-stopping festival has expanded for 2010 with an even bigger 40 acre site that will once again be bursting at the seams with the best new acts, performers, stage sets and special effects from all over the world for what promises to be a carnival of anarchic entertainment.
