Number one UK rapper Dizzee Rascal admits he wants to get dark with Marilyn Manson.
From the grimy streets of East London, Dizzee's early material was sparse and dark, but his recent chart-topping efforts have show a more dancefloor-oriented side.
But it looks like he plans to delve into his dark side once more, and he wants to go there with waning shock-rock star Marilyn Manson.
Dizzee told NME, "I've always been a fan… he's got the whole visual thing locked-on, alongside the music. I've got a dark side – I'd want to explore it with him in a major, major way."
He referred to the 1998 hip-hop/rock mash-up between Manson and troubled US rapper DMX, but said "I'd want it to be bigger than that."
It surely would be, since the first four singles from his most recent album 'Tongue N Cheek' have topped the UK charts. None of his previous three albums had a number one single.
