As the sunset fell on Field Day this Saturday, Django Django took to the main stage for what would end up being the stand out performance of the festival this year.
Django Django last played Field Day in a smaller tent in 2013, which was so packed people spilled out of the festival site trying to watch from afar. This year, drawing the biggest crowd of the festival on the main stage, Django Django ensured the crowd once again reached fever pitch with thousands of faces lit up, smiles wide and non stop dancing from the front of the arena to the back.
The band rightfully claimed their place on the main stage. With such a killer live show, packed full of energy and dance-floor gold, it is little wonder the band are on every festival bill and filling venues around the UK and afar.
December 9th will be no different with Django Django front and centre at the historic and beautiful Camden Roundhouse for what will be their first London show since selling out London's KOKO in May.
Django Django's brilliant second album Born Under Saturn was met with unanimous rave reviews upon its release last month. Sunday Times Culture made it their Album of the Month, whilst The Times newspaper called it 'glorious' giving 4*s. Shortlist said the band are 'made for festival tents' – fortunately, the band will play a string of festivals across the summer, including a headline slot on the Festival Republic stage at Reading & Leeds, also playing End of the Road festival and Larmer Tree Gardens.
