Dolly Parton has the ability to 'knock macho men over with a feather'.
The country music star, who is famed for her flamboyant style and outspoken nature, grew up with six brothers and insists she understands the opposite sex.
The 65-year-old star knows how to target a man's weakness and isn't afraid to bring them down a peg or two if they are putting on a front.
'That they're no different from women,' she quipped when asked what's the most important lesson she's learnt about men.
'We're all just people. Especially those macho men who have to bring on all that macho image. I know that my brothers are so tender-hearted that you can knock 'em over with a feather if you hit 'em in the right place.'
The voluptuous superstar tied the knot with Carl Dean in 1966. Even though she is one of the biggest musicians in the world, Dolly has managed to keep her relationship out of the public eye for decades.
Dolly says her husband appreciates the way she unconventionally handles other guys.
' have relationships and love affairs but not necessarily sexual. My husband loves me and has always said, 'I would think less of any man that didn't fall in love with you.' He just means that there's a lot to love there,' she explained in an interview with Attitude magazine.
'My husband is the only one I would ever want. If he passed away before me I'm not sure I would ever marry again. But we totally and completely understand, accept and love each other as we are.'
