Dolly Parton has issued a personal response to critics who claimed she mimed at her Glastonbury show, saying that she sung live during her hugely celebrated Sunday show on Worthy Farm.
The singer was one of the many highlights of Glastonbury 2014, and drew one of the biggest Glastonbury audiences of all time according to organiser Emily Eavis, but home viewers were quick to claim that Parton was miming, which she has now stated was not the case.
"My boobs are fake, my hair's fake, but what is real is my voice and my heart," said Parton in a short statement to The Sun newspaper, following on from an earlier denial from her rep, who had stated: "She sings live. Some people don't know an amazing singer when they hear one."
"You sound fine and you're looking mighty fine too," said Dolly to her 100,000 strong crowd at Glastonbury, taking the enormous crowd in her stride. "I've been waiting a lifetime for this."
