Dr. Dre has turned fitness coach for a fellow rapper.
The legendary hip-hop star decided to offer Warren G some words of encouragement when he saw his weight creeping up.
Warren has battled the bulge in the past, even appearing on reality diet show Celebrity Fit Club in 2007. He lost 31lbs. while starring on the programme, but recently he's piled some of the weight back on.
The rapper confided some health fears to Dre, who immediately told him he had no option but to start exercising more.
"A lot of people in my family have high blood pressure," he told TMZ. "Dre told me I better start hitting the gym... so I took his advice."
Warren, 41, is proud of his newly buff physique. He used to have a large rounded stomach, but it's now flat and toned. His podgy arms have been sculpted and are now more defined.
The star is only too happy to discuss how instrumental Dre has been in his makeover.
"Seeing Dre looking all cut up and in shape made me want to get myself together and look right, too," he explained.
Warren's new regime includes rigorous workouts, with the rapper boxing and running most days. He's also overhauled his diet and no longer eats so much junk food.
