Drowning Pool have called off the rest of their tour after bassist Stevie Benton was rushed to the hospital with paralysis.
The band's publicist says Benton began to feel ill during Wednesday's performance in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He immediately went to the hospital after the show and was diagnosed with a neurological disorder called Bell's Palsy, which causes paralysis to the face and sometimes sensitivity to sound.
In most cases, it is a temporary disease and will resolve itself on its own with proper rest. Benton has been ordered to stop touring for at least six weeks. Benton says he's "really bummed" about calling off the rest of their tour, but he can't wait "to come back and rock out."
Drowning Pool had been doing a tour called This Is For The Soldiers, which was raising money for American veterans and for the USO.
