Eagles of Death Metal back on Paris stage with U2

US rockers Eagles of Death Metal got back on stage in Paris with U2 last night.

It has been less than a month since their gig at the Bataclan venue was the scene of 90 deaths in the Paris terroist attacks.

They joined U2 at the AccorHotels Arena report the BBC.

"They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago and we would like to offer them ours tonight," said singer Bono.

U2 and Eagles of Death Metal went on to sing Patti Smith's People Have The Power with EODM then performing I Love You All The Time.

Bono said: "We stand together with the families of those killed in Paris," as victims' names were projected on a huge video screen.

Later in the evening Bono covered himself in a tricolour flag and sang a verse of Belgian singer Jacques Brel's Ne me quitte pas (Don't Leave Me).

Bono and guitarist The Edge both have houses in France. The Edge told CNN: "It seemed like the target [of the attacks] was culture and every kind of expression of the best of humanity - great music, restaurants, French food - everything that we hold dear."
