MySpace, the world's premiere social network, is excited to announce the return of School Invasions, the nationwide competition that gives 13 to 18 year olds the chance to host a gig with a top music act in their school or college.
The tour follows the success of MySpace School Invasions 2008, which saw Kate Nash, The Wombats, Fightstar and DJ Ironik go back to school and perform at Harrogate Grammar, Harrogate.
This year, not one but five schools will win the chance to host the ultimate school party with rock band, Elliot Minor and the voting starts today. The winning school will also bag £1,000 worth of music equipment.
To enter this once in a lifetime competition, pupils are invited to visit the MySpace School Invasions Tour profile www.myspace.com/schoolinvasions to vote. They can also earn extra votes by uploading pictures and videos, becoming a member of their MySpace School's community and sending a banner to all their friends and getting them to vote.
The competition closes on 27th March 2009, and the winning schools will be announced on 10th April 2009. The School Invasions Tour will take place between 27th April and 1st May 2009.
