Overview
Elton John, his band and a full symphony orchestra are set to play five July shows at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
The shows are scheduled for July 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18, and tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on May 3, according to promoters.
The symphony and choir will comprise students of London's Royal Academy of Music and New York's Julliard School. At least some of the shows will be filmed by the Bravo cable network for a future television special.
The vast majority of John's U.S. concert dates this year will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. John's Las Vegas production, which was designed and directed by photographer and director David LaChappelle, is titled "The Red Piano."
