Sir Elton John says his life is a "constant delight".
The legendary musician and partner David Furnish are proud parents to son Zachary. Elton says he is happier than ever.
"I'm the luckiest guy in the world. It's been a joyride… I have a child, which I thought I'd never have. And my life is a constant delight," he gushed in an interview with USA Today.
Elton says 18-month-old son Zachary is a joy to have around him - even when he has work commitments to attend to.
The 65-year-old star never imagined he'd feel so content having a family.
"[Zachary] has brought to David and me the most incredible pleasure, and he's brought us the most incredible sense of responsibility and love," he revealed. "He comes with us everywhere. He loves travelling. He loves people… He's just a happy-natured boy."
Elton doesn't want his demons to haunt him where his past drug and alcohol addictions are concerned. The British singer has revealed how he copes when he finds himself in situations involving illegal substances.
"If I ever find myself in a situation where there are drugs, I can smell the cocaine. I can feel it in the back of my throat, that horrible feeling of taking the first hit of cocaine. And I leave," he said.
