The star and his partner David Furnish welcomed their son, who was born by a surrogate, on Christmas day. Speaking to OK! Magazine, Elton described the moment that the baby came into the world.
The 63-year-old said, 'He shot out like a rocket. There just aren't proper words to describe that feeling. It's indescribable. It was just, 'We have a son'!'
Despite his wealth, the Rocket Man singer insisted that money will be spent wisely on the youngster.
'I'm ready to have a child and lavish my love on our son and not spoil him,' he said.
