Sit Elton John is reportedly returning to his beloved soccer club.
The 61-year-old singer walked away from his role as honorary life president of Hertfordshire club Watford FC two months ago after an ongoing feud with the clubs former chairman Graham Simpson.
Just weeks later, Simpson resigned from his post, prompting the Your Song singer to consider rejoining the club. He even visited the clubs training grounds late last month, chatting happily with players and staff.
Watford manager Brendan Rodgers said: I was delighted when he accepted my invitation
and he was great with everyone. He rang me later when he got home, thanking me for the day.
Elton has been involved in the club since 1976, holding the position of owner, chairman, director and president and the club is keen to have him involved once again.
Rodgers said: People like Elton John have been involved here for many years. For me, its important that people like that have a part in the future as well.
