Less than a month after becoming a father, the singer performed at a Los Angeles charity event and hit out at opponents of gay marriage.
“I think I have it all,” he said between songs at the benefit for the American Foundation for Equal Rights.
“I have a wonderful career, a wonderful life. I have my health, I have a partner of 17 years and now I have a son.”
But he then added, according to RadarOnline: “I don’t have everything because I don’t have the respect of people like the church or like politicians who tell me that I’m not worthy, that I’m lesser because I’m gay, well f*** you!”
The star-studded event, at the home of billionaire Ron Burkle, reportedly raised more than $3m to fight to overturn California’s Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage.
