ELVIS COSTELLO has launched his first ever chat show with a little help from an old friend.
Sir Elton John joined the singer/songwriter last night on "Spectacle: Elvis Costello With....." which made its debut on the Sundance Channel in the US last night.
During the hour-long show, the pair talked about their musical influences and the artists they both love, with Sir Elton taking to the piano to show how his favourite artists influenced his songs.
He also spoke about his relationship with lyricist Bernie Taupin and insisted the pair had never been in the same room together to write, as they'd "kill each other".
Other artists and stars planned to appear during the 13- episode series, which is produced by Sir Elton John's Rocket Pictures company, include Lou Reed, Bill Clinton, The Police and Herbie Hancock,.
