Produced by T-Bone Burnett, the album, titled Secret, Profane & Sugarcane, will be released on June 1.
The vinyl edition of the LP, which was reportedly recorded in three days, will include two bonus tracks - a sequel to an Appalachian murder ballad called 'What Lewis Did Last' and a cover of The Velvet Underground's 'Femme Fatale'.
Costello was joined by a number of country and bluegrass musicians for the LP, which is said to be a mainly acoustic effort.
