Emeli Sandé is looking forward to a much needed period of relaxation following her performance at the BRIT Awards.
The Scottish singer's career has exploded since the release of her debut studio album Our Version of Events last year.
In the past 12 months Emeli has performed at both the opening and closing ceremonies of the London Olympics and she is now gearing up to sing at the BRIT Awards Wednesday night.
Emeli is nominated for three trophies at the ceremony and has received numerous praise and attention for her music.
Although she appreciates the accolades, Emeli would like to take it easy for a little while following the BRITs.
"I'm happy to leave the limelight for a bit and lay low after," she revealed to Bizarre magazine.
"I'm going to be in the studio working on my next album.
"I just want to make more music, as that's my favourite thing."
Several huge musicians are set to perform at the BRITs this year.
Beyoncé Knowles is making a comeback onstage following the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy last year.
Justin Timberlake is also reportedly preparing to wow fans with a magnificent show after taking a hiatus from music to focus on his acting career.
The 2013 BRIT Awards will be presented by comic star James Corden and will take place at The O2 Arena on February 20.
