The Lose Yourself rapper almost had his Australian tour blocked ten years ago. Wayne, who was jailed for eight months last year on gun charges, will headline the six-hour hip hop extravaganzas in Sydney and Melbourne in December.
But the once-controversial bad boys seem to have turned over a new leaf. The Herald Sun reported that Eminem, 38, is now sober and a primary caregiver to three daughters, while Lil Wayne has said that he is planning to quit rap to be a positive role model to his three kids.
Promoter Paul Dainty he is expecting the gigs to be trouble-free.
'It's all very professional and there are no problems,' Dainty said. 'We are in a different space with Eminem than we were 10 years ago. He's crossed over to the mainstream and become a pop-culture icon.'
Tickets are $150 and will go on sale at 9am on September 13.
