Sacha Baron Cohen's butt-thrusting stunt at the MTV Movie Awards was staged and he had rehearsed it with Eminem.
The star-studded audience was stunned when Sacha's alter-ego Bruno, a gay Austrian fashion reporter, descended from the roof wearing wings, knee high boots and a jockstrap before wrapping his legs around the rapper's head, with his buttocks fully exposed.
The hip-hop star then stormed out of the Gibson Amphitheatre, in Universal City, California, on Sunday night (31.05.09) in disgust but the show's writer Scott Aukerman insists it was all planned.
He said: "Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was tagged. That's all anyone wants to talk about, so let's get it out the way.
"They rehearsed it at the dress rehearsal and it went as far then as it did on the live show."
Speculation the stunt was staged was fuelled by Eminem wearing a microphone during Sacha's entrance as well as cameras already being focused on him.
However, sources claim although Eminem knew about the prank, he didn't know Sacha's butt would be fully exposed.
One said: "The fact that his bare buttocks would be pressed into his face was never mentioned. When Eminem stormed out he was livid, he wasn't acting."
Yesterday (02.06.09), it was revealed Paris Hilton was asked to be part of the stunt but refused.
A source said: "The first choice was Paris who, luckily for her, declined. Paris is happy she turned down the offer."
