Also nominated for record of the year were B.o.B with Bruno Mars for Nothin' on You, Cee Lo for F*** You and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys for Empire State of Mind.
Bruno Mars earned seven nominations overall, while Jay-Z, Lady Antebellum and Lady Gaga each earned six.
Cee Lo's F*** You was nominated for song of the year, along with Lady Antebellum's Need You Now, Eminem and Rihanna's Love the Way You Lie, Ray LaMontagne's Beg, Steal or Borrow and Miranda Lambert's The House That Built Me.
The song of the year Grammy is presented to the songwriter.
In addition to Eminem and Lady Antebellum, the nominees for album of the year were Arcade Fire for The Suburbs, Lady Gaga for The Fame Monster and Katy Perry for Teenage Dream.
The 53rd annual Grammy Awards will be presented on February 13 at Staples Centre.
