Eminem has defended his public mocking Michael Jackson.
Eminem told American TV he believes the comical portrayal of Jackson in his new music video is based on the truth.
"There was nothing I felt that wasn't true about Michael Jackson that we did in the video, that didn't happen to him in real life," he said.
In the video for the hit song, 'Just Lose It' Eminem dresses up as troubled musician Jackson.
The one time King of Pop is depicted with children in his bed, having a prosthetic nose and his hair catching on fire.
"In all honesty his personal business and what he's got going on and all that, I'm neither here nor there with it. I'm not the one to judge that," Eminem told MTV news.
He added he still respected Jackson for his musical legacy.
"As far as his music, the man is a legend," he said.
Jackson demanded US TV networks pull it from their broadcasts, but only one network went along with his request.
"I feel that it is outrageous and disrespectful. It is one thing to spoof, but it is another to be demeaning and insensitive," Jackson told a Los Angeles radio host.
