Throughout his career, Eminem may have been involved his share of media beefs, but lately, he's showing nothing but love for the Young Money crew. His aggressive Nicki Minaj collaboration, "Roman's Revenge," came out over the weekend, when he also called into DJ Whoo Kid's show on Em's own Shade 45 satellite radio station and discussed how much he's looking forward to Lil Wayne's impending release from prison.
"I'm definitely looking forward to Wayne getting out," MTV's 2010 Hottest MC in the Game told the New York DJ on Saturday. "I can't wait to hear what he comes up with next." With a series of Weezy songs already on the charts, the Detroit MC admitted that the lyricist's comeback is set to shake up the music scene, saying, "Yeah man, it's going to be real interesting."
In the mean time, Wayne and Em's "No Love" collaboration has been in heavy rotation. Calling himself a "spokesperson" for victims of bullying, Eminem said it was easy to link that topic with the song's lyrics.
"As far as conceptually with the video, we felt like that's kind of what the song was saying — kicking somebody when they're down or somebody being bullied or picking on somebody," he explained. "So we kind of just came up with that concept and went with it for the video."
With Recovery still riding high on the charts, many fans have wondered whether the MC will hit the road with for a tour. Unfortunately, Em admitted that while he has series of shows lined up, he has no plans for a full-length tour at the moment.
"I'm doing a lot of spot dates here and there like different places and sh--, but we haven't launched [a tour]," he said. "We don't have any plans in the near future right now to go all out with a full-fledged tour or anything like that. I'm kind of just doing things like different cities and dipping in and out, which is basically what I have been doing. I have a show in Brazil coming up next week."
