The producer of Eminem's 'Space Bound', which has attracted controversy, has compared the video to Alanis Morissette's 'Ironic'.
Released earlier this week, the video, which stars former porn star Sasha Grey, has been slammed by critics because it shows the rapper shooting himself in the head.
Jim Jonsin, who produced the song, said viewers should watch on more than one occasion to realise that it display two sides of Eminem's personality.
"It reminded me of Alanis Morissette's 'Ironic' video, where she's got her and her two other egos in the car," he told MTV News.
"I think it was him living in the now as a person going through it and him living as a person who is witnessing it and can make other choices to not be in that scenario.”
Jonsin added: “Maybe he would've chose differently, so now he's watching himself."
'Space Bound' is the latest single to be taken from Eminem's 2010 album 'Recovery'.
