In a weird combination of music genres, rapper Eminem and pop star Taylor Swift were the top winners at the same award show.
YouTube held its first-ever Music Awards Sunday, with hosts Jason Schwartzman and our favorite avante garde musician Reggie Watts, where stars accepted awards in an unscripted and ad-lib environment.
The show was live-streamed on YouTube from Manhattan's Pier 36 for 90 minutes beginning at 6 p.m. ET, where Schwartzman and Watts doled out awards in between "live music video" performances.
Seattle rappers Macklemore (Ben Haggerty) & Ryan Lewis took YouTube Breakthrough Artist,Taylor Swift was awarded YouTube Phenomenon for "I Knew You Were Trouble" and rapper Eminem for YouTube Artist of the Year.
Arcade Fire performed at the open of the show and Lady Gaga rolled out her new song "Dope."
