Eminem is set to return to the silver screen in a boxing flick.
Deadline reports that his production company Shady Films is in talks with Dreamworks to produce Southpaw, a film about a welterweight boxer.
The screenplay will be written by Kurt Sutter, who created the bikie gang drama Sons Of Anarchy.
Sutter said that Eminem will star in the film, his first since 2002's 8 Mile.
Sutter told Deadline, 'He is very interested in the boxing genre, and it seemed like an apt metaphor, because his own life has been a brawl. In a way, this is a continuation of the 8 Mile story, but rather than a literal biography, we are doing a metaphorical narrative of the second chapter of his life.'
There has been no release date set, but Sutter is working on a first draft of the script which he plans to have ready next February.
