Eminem was crowned Artist of the Year at the first-ever YouTube Music Awards.
The rapper scored the honour Sunday at the fan-voted ceremony broadcast from New York City.
Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Psy, Rihanna and Taylor Swift were also nominated for the prize.
Newcomers Macklemore & Ryan Lewis did come out on top in another category, taking home the trophy for Breakthrough of the Year.
The pair were bewildered when they were handed two screaming babies upon accepting their award from Rashida Jones.
"We spent about $5,000 on this music video and just had fun making this with our friends," Macklemore said, laughing, "I can't believe we won these kids!"
The hip-hop duo was up against Kendrick Lamar, Naughty Boy, Passenger and Rudimental.
Taylor Swift's I Knew You Were Trouble won YouTube Phemonenon, over Rihanna's Diamonds, Psy's Gangnam Style, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' Thrift Shop and the Harlem Shake.
Other winners included Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix hit Radioactive (Response of the Year), DeStorm's See Me Standing (Innovation of the Year) and Girls' Generation's I Got A Boy (Video of the Year).
Eminem and Lady Gaga were among performers at the event, with the lyricist performing new single Rap God while Gaga debuted new track Dope on piano.
The inaugural YouTube Music Awards ceremony was hosted by Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts.
