Live music fans are being given the chance to see one of the UK's hottest bands - Enter Shikari - at an exclusive Secret Show this Friday.
The show is part of the Camden Crawl and has been organised by MySpace, the world's largest social network. Enter Shikari will follow in the footsteps of other big acts like Primal Scream, The Gossip and Babyshambles whose MySpace Secret Shows have all caused fan stampedes.
With over 200,000 friends on their MySpace profile and 600+ gigs under their belts, Enter Shikari are a huge MySpace success story and were an obvious choice to perform at the latest Secret Show.
The band, hailing from St. Albans, made up of Rou Reynolds (vocals / electronics), Rob Rolfe (drums) Chris Batten (bass) and Rory Clewlow (guitar) remain unsigned out of choice - selling over 100,000 copies of their debut album Take To The Skies, on their own label, in the UK alone - despite huge interest by the majors and indies in their unique sound, which is a combination of trance, hardcore and rock that defies all attempts to pigeonhole. They're one of the best live bands currently on the scene selling out shows up and down the country.
From today, MySpace users are invited to visit http://www.myspace.com/secretshowsuk where they will be given full instructions on how to get a sought after place at this free gig, which will involve them meeting at a specified checkpoint and being whisked off to the Secret Show.
This MySpace Secret Show will form part of the Red Stripe Camden Crawl, a mile-long stretch from Chalk Farm to Mornington Crescent taking in 130 artists across 25 venues over two days (April 17/18) which will play host to 15,000 music fans.
