Eric Clapton has released a new instrumental composition for his late bandmate, Jack Bruce.
Bruce died on Saturday from liver disease and Clapton announced the passing to fans on his Facebook page, saying "He was a great musician and composer, and a tremendous inspiration to me."
Clapton and Bruce played together, along with drummer Ginger Baker, in Cream. Even though the band broke up in 1968, they reformed for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and shows at both London's Royal Albert Hall and New York's Madison Square Garden in 2005.
