Evan Rachel Wood proud of love scenes

The 23-year-old actress shot her first nude sequence for Mildred Pierce, a five-part HBO mini-series which is set to air in the US later this year.

Rather than feeling sheepish about the scene, Evan is embracing her body, because she knows when she’s older she’ll look back fondly at her slender frame.

“I’m actually just glad that I’m getting it on film now. One day, I’ll be 80 years old and I can look back and be like, ‘Yeah! I was there and I did that,’” she laughed.

In Mildred Pierce Evan portrays Veda, the insatiable daughter of title character Mildred – played by British star Kate Winslet. Evan feels the raunchy scenes are integral to the plot, and she doesn’t understand why such a fuss is often made about nudity on screen when youngsters are confronted with far more shocking images in music promos than in films and television dramas.

“I did my first nude scene in Mildred Pierce, and that was absolutely terrifying, but it was for an important part of the film and for a reason, and it’s incredibly powerful. It’s not gratuitous. I think the stuff they show on MTV is so much worse,” she told Collider.
