Fall Out Boy have defended Paramore's divisive headliner booking at this years Reading and Leeds festivals.
Playing host to the first ever joint headliner at Reading + Leeds, the August bank holiday weekend will see Queens of the Stone Age and Paramore take turns to headline. While this may be great for ticket sales it has also managed to completely split audiences, some think it's a great booking, others have called it predictable and doubt the band's ability to headline.
"The interesting thing about Paramore is that while we've had similar labels in the past, we have really separate legacies and together we've decided to bring those together for our tour in the US," said Pete Wentz. "But from our being over here in the UK it seems that Paramore have their own massive legacy over here. Seeing them headline that line-up isn't in any way shocking to me, I think that they'll kill it."
"They put on a great show, I think if anyone has a problem with it, either leave before them or stick around and be surprised because they're pretty awesome," added Patrick Thump.
