Fall Out Boy have spoken out on Courtney Love's contribution in the hunt for the missing Malaysian plane, saying that they "wouldn't be surprised" if she had found it.
Earlier in the week Love posted a picture of what could have been the plane along on her social media channels. "I'm no expert but up close this does look like a plane and an oil slick," she wrote on Facebook as she shared the image, sourced on Tomnod.com.
Prayers go out to the families #MH370 and its like a mile away Pulau Perak, where they "last" tracked it 5°39'08.5"N 98°50'38.0"E but what do I know?"
Commenting on Love's observations, Fall Out Boys Pete Wentz said that it would be "the greatest thing ever" if she had managed to solve the mystery of the missing plane. Patrick added that Love is extremely switched on and he wouldn't be suprised if she had done her research before posting the picture.
"The crazy thing about Courtney is she's actually very very sharp with a lot of her observations. It's just that she can also be wild and crazy or whatever. It kind of flips," said Patrick.
"I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if at the end of the day she goes home, puts on her reading glasses and goes through all this data. There's the company that's been collecting all this data on the radar pings and she's going through there and she's like: "I got it!".
Currently clues are pointing to a potential wreckage in the Indian Ocean just off the coast of Australia. The satellite images show a silhouette that approximately matches with size of the plane and also matches up with the flight path. The Australian authorities however remain pensive that it may just be a lost shipping container.
