Fatboy Slim says police have stopped him from having another summer rave up on the beach in his native Brighton.
The star, who releases a greatest hits compilation called 'Why Try Harder?' on June 26, last performed on the city's beach in 2002, when an estimated 250,000 attended.
And Fatboy, real name Norman Cook, told BBC 6 Music the council are behind him - but the police have no intention of letting him go ahead with it.
Fatboy Slim is pressing on with his other plans - this weekend (June 17) he plays Port Rush in Ireland, and the week after (June 24) he visits the north of Scotland to play the 'Rock Ness' event on the banks of Loch Ness.document.write(unescape("
