Kicking off a new decade in style and following in the footsteps of global bass god, Diplo, synthpop dance trio Filthy Dukes take CTRL this January at www.myspace.com/topmanctrl . The band have been given the keys to the CTRL empire and told to paste their musical influences, inspirations, and predictions large on the MySpace page.
Filthy Dukes have also curated the next CTRL Live event, featuring some of the best new acts on their radar on January 27th at 60 Million Postcards, Bournemouth. The night boasts an impressive line up: tipped indie disco troubadours We Have Band, eccentric Londoner Clock Opera, melodic post punkers O Children, a DJ set from local hero Tosh Ohta and an alternative DJ Set from Filthy Dukes themselves.
"Like some sort of sonic overlord we have created this frantic musical beast for the good seaside people of Bournemouth.
We will be there on the night to make sure all bodies are dancing and hands are in the air for some of our favourite bands on the planet.
Thank you Topman CTRL for giving us this crazy power, we hope we have used it for good." – Filthy Dukes
Described as 'electroacidhousenuravetwisteddiscopunkfunk' and proudly hosting their regular club night at Fabric for the past five years, Filthy Dukes' dancefloor reputation is unrivalled. Remixing tracks from The Rakes to White Lies the group have become a whirlwind force in the last year. Following the release of their debut album "Nonsense In The Dark" in March, the DJs, producers, remixers and electro/indie crossover kings have changed the face of synth dance music.
