Florence + the Machine will open Australia's Vivid Sydney festival of light, music and ideas on 25 May at Sydney Opera House.
Following sold out shows across Europe and North America, Florence + the Machine will appear alongside The Ceremonial Orchestra with over 40 musicians, representing the largest incarnation of the group yet as part of the Vivid Live arm of the Vivid Sydney festival.
The artist-driven Vivid Live festival - defined by special commissions, one-off events and Australian premieres – will also feature award winning UK singer-songwriter, Imogen Heap.
Imogen Heap will perform an early evening recital on 29 May of songs from her in-progress album with the sole accompaniment of herself playing the piano and visually by the music videos she has made for each song.
The festival will also feature performances from international artists including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman Karen O, Australia's The Temper Trap, America's Janelle Monáe & The Archandroid as well as Danish trio Efterklang.
