Ahead of the Foo Fighters' spectacular headlining set at the Invictus Games in front of 50,000 people, the band have set a date for their first fan-funded gig.
As previously reported, Foo Fighters agreed to play the gig following an online campaign by solitary fan Andrew Goldin who campaigned to bring the band back to Richmond, Virginia. The bands official twitter confirmed the details today

Dave Grohl recently said that crowd-funded gigs could represent the future of live music, suggesting that Foo Fighters would play more shows similar to their Richmond date. Foo Fighters' new album Sonic Highways will be released on 10 November and is the band's eighth studio effort.
