Sunderland's Frankie & The Heartstrings release their new single That Postcard this week on PopSex Ltd / Wichita Recordings as they hit the road for a string of UK shows.
The band are pleased to announce a headline show for London on 23rd September at ULU, plus their return to Reading & Leeds festivals in August following their heartily received sets on the NME/Radio 1 stages last year. Three more UK festivals have been added: Deer Shed in North Yorkshire, Underage in London and Beacons in Skipton, with more European festival dates confirmed for July. All dates listed below.
That Postcard is taken from F&TH' Top 40 debut album Hunger and features producer Edwyn Collins on backing vocals. The bands' admiration for Collins and his former band Orange Juice is no secret and That Postcard tips its hat to the great man with a fond reference to his Channel 4 sitcom of yore West Heath Yard while the b-side to this digital only single is a cover of Collins' Searching For The Truth from his recent album Losing Sleep.
