Alex Kapranos launched an expletive-ridden tirade against their US label following the use of a Franz song on a McDonald's campaign.
Franz Ferdinand are currently not loving their American record label. Epic have reportedly given the green light for the use of a Franz Ferdinand song on a McDonald's advertising campaign reports XFM.co.uk.
Kapranos hit back on his Twitter, with a scathing attack on the label.
"This www.latenightmcdonalds.com is an example of how a band falls out with their US label", tweeted the frontman. "Did they think we'd approve this shit? Dirty bastards. Stupid arrogant motherfucking pig-brained arseholes. I'd rather eat a cowpat on a bun than a bloody McDonald's."
Alex Kapranos has since calmed down slightly saying:
"I'm not really pissed off with McDonalds", he continued. "They're just the same as any other psychopathic corporation - no more evil, no less. The psychopathic corporation I am pissed off with is Sony who owns Epic who release our records in America. But not really surprised."
