Franz Ferdinand blew up a pub in their "craziest" show.
The 'Take Me Out' musicians – who recently released their third album 'Tonight: Franz Ferdinand' in the UK – once accidentally destroyed a Scottish venue before getting into a fight with the barman.
Alex Kapranos, the band's frontman, explained to NME magazine: "I think the craziest was when we played the Captain's Rest, a pub in Glasgow.
"We got three songs into it but we'd plugged the PA and all the amplifiers and the lights into one socket and we fused the whole place and ended up getting in a fight with the barman because we'd blown the whole pub up."
The band recently revealed they now play their new songs on a piano to see if they have written a potential hit or not.
Alex explained: "We would play all our ideas on an old upright piano, because then it's really obvious whether you've got a decent tune or not."
Having spent 18 months working on the new material, the singer says the group now sound like an "updated version of themselves" and is hopeful their new album will be a hit.
He said: "I really want it to have an impact on the world. I want to be in a town on the other side of the world, and somebody walks up and says, 'That music you made in Glasgow, I listened to it every day, and it moved me.'
"Is that a bad thing? Ambition is sneered at by some bands. It seems like a pretty good thing to me."
