Franz Ferdinand remain favourites to win this year's Mercury Music Prize, with bookmakers closing the book on the band.
While The Streets' 'A Grand Don't Come For Free' remains second favourite, the surprise outside bet comes from 'Who Killed The Zutons?', with the scouse popsters' odds slashed dramatically.
A spokesman said: 'Money points to glory for Franz Ferdinand but the biggest gamble has to be on The Zutons. The Liverpool band's odds have been slashed from 14/1 into 3/1.'
'The big money has been for 'Who Killed The Zutons?'. If the Liverpool band win it would be a poor result for us and a case of who killed the bookmakers.'
'Overall, punters have found this year's Mercury hard to call, there are so many acts who have already established commercial success. All signs indicate that we'll see an historic turning point for Franz Ferdinand or a killer gamble landed by The Zutons.'
The final odds are:
Franz Ferdinand ' 9/4
The Streets ' 2/1
The Zutons ' 3/1
Amy Winehouse ' 8/1
Keane ' 8/1
Snow Patrol ' 10/1
Basement Jaxx ' 12/1
Joss Stone ' 12/1
Belle and Sebastian ' 16/1
Jamelia ' 16/1
Robert Wyatt ' 25/1
Ty ' 25/1
