Franz Ferdinand have revealed details of two new songs written for their second album.
‘What You Said' and ‘Do You Want It' are both expected to appear on the new record, due out this summer.
Singer Alex Kapranos told fansite franzferdinand.org that the two songs are “much stronger than anything we wrote on tour†and are “great fun to playâ€.
Kapranos also told NME.COM that the band were considering performing the track at the Brit Awards (February 9), but opted in favour of their breakthrough hit ‘Take Me Out' at the last minute.
“We were talking about playing a new song. It was good, we really like it â€" it felt good , it felt really solid. But we didn't really know it well enough,†he explained.
Franz Ferdinand are also currently in talks with their website creators DS.Emotion about an opportunity that will bring them closer to their fans.
Although unconfirmed at this stage, it is hoped the new online plans will allow the band to interact with fans while they are in the studio recording their second album.document.write(unescape('\04564%6F%63um\145%6Et.%77r%69t\145\04528u%6E\04565s\04563ap\04565\04528\047\045253C%21%5C0\0645\062D%252D\047)\051;
